RETROFIT AND
BEDROOM
EXTENSION,

DUMFRIES

This 1930’s cottage with cavity wall construction presented a number of problems including a front door into the kitchen, a lack of storage space and damp problems resulting in mould on the inside walls.  A new highly insulated timber clad extension was positioned centrally to provide a light filled new entrance hall, study and bedroom connecting into an upgraded space providing utility, storage and wc ancillary spaces.  The existing walls and windows were thermally upgraded with high performance triple glazed windows and an external wall insulated render finish to complement the natural timber finish of the extension.
