This project involved the complete reconfiguration of a 1960's house in Newton Mearns. At ground floor level the house was completely transformed. The alterations included repositioning of the stair, creation of a new entrance with coat store, removal of structural walls to create a large open plan living, kitchen and dining, plus a new utility area, double garage and small rear extension to house a snug and office.
At first floor level, the existing roof over the single storey parts was removed and we extended upwards to create additional accommodation including 2 bedrooms with en-suites plus a new hallway connection to the existing house with a void area overlooking the entrance hall.
