Flockhart Architects was established in 2014 by Amanda Flockhart. Since graduating from the Glasgow School of Art, Amanda has worked for a number of high profile practices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. During her time as an associate with AAB architects in London, Amanda was responsible for a wide variety of projects in the residential, education and community sectors.
Her completed projects include the substantial alteration and extension of a Victorian townhouse in Kensington, the refurbishment of an existing sports building to provide temporary accommodation for the Frank Barnes school for deaf children, an extension to a youth club on Regents Canal, an adventure playground in Chiswick (which won Gold in the mayor’s safer parks awards), and alterations to the Kate Greenaway Nursery in Islington (shortlisted for an RIBA award).
During her studies, Amanda was awarded the top student Bourdon Prize, the Glasgow City Council Silver Medal and was judged as being one of the top eight UK students in Building Design's 'Class of 2004'.
